Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) were excited, pressured and popularly supported to enter the 2024 IPL season. Season Story: From Collapse to Comeback

The Poor Start

RCB lost in their first seven matches.

Problems included:

• poor bowling in small grounds.
• collapse in middle overs
• lack of powerplay wickets
• too much pressure on Kohli
• RCB was defeated even though Kohli scored a century against Rajasthan.

RCB Run Chasing Record 

SL vs. RCB was one of the largest matches on IPL:

• SRH had broken 287/3 (the highest ever in IPL history).

Playoffs: Eliminator vs. Rajasthan Royals

• RCB was rated at 172/8 in a difficult pitch at Ahmedabad.
