After having been an alumnus at IHM, Aurangabad, Sakshi began her first professional role as a management intern at the Taj Bengal Hotel in Kolkata back in 2007. 

Interestingly this is where Dhoni and Sakshi had their first meeting. She was interning at Taj Bengal, whereas he was in the city on account of a match against Pakistan; and was playing at Eden Gardens. 

After her experience in Kolkata, she also worked as a trainee at the Taj Mahal Hotel in Mumbai and then went on to serve as a company administrator in Rhiti MSD Alamode Pvt Ltd., which was a sporting organisation located in Delhi.
