Rahane hails from Maharashtra, and his childhood was in Mumbai area. From the very early days, he had shown a passion for the game of cricket to which he was given good encouragement by his family.

Rahane made his first-class debut for Mumbai in 2007-08 Ranji Trophy season.

International Career
